MOTIONWORX - STORY
In 2019, Owners Joel and Ingrid decided to showcase how they felt a physiotherapy clinic should be. With over 33 years of experience between the two, and diverse talents that compliment each other, Joel and Ingrid consider themselves to be the dynamic duo of physiotherapy. We won’t say who is Batman… MotionWorx is committed to being an active part of the Kelowna community. We are actively involved in the growing sports community, as well as the Arts. Each treatment room has a different feels. Joel let Shawn take the lead on what he would like to bring into the space. With the help of interior designer Hannah Berger of Hannah Katey Interior Design the space came together. If you are in need of any physiotherapy treatment do yourself a favor and contact MotionWorx today. The District on Bernard is a modern collection of fashion-forward retailers in Kelowna’s revitalized downtown core.
This project was put together by Kelowna's very own Chriscan Construction. We are super excited to be apart of Fossello's interior design.
Here is a memory from ETD's Facebook timeline. September 2014. 6 months into our new adventure as @eternaltimber one of our bigger custom jobs. Collaborating with a local design firm Sticks + Stones Design Group Inc. Trusted us to create this (absolutely one of my favorites) gorgeous table.
This picture is not only a representation of our journey as a small business it is our heart and soul. Our love for design, being creative and artistry. Over 5 years later we Eternal Timber and Design are still here and still loving what we do. Thank you! 💕🥂
Six months after that holiday, Eternal Timber was set up and ready to go. Like most small businesses, Shawn admits it was a struggle at first. It was difficult to find customers and the hustle was tiring while he was still working as a framer. There were long days and long weeks of hard work. But after about 18 months, things started taking off.
Locally, word of mouth has been important to growing Eternal Timber. Shawn has good relationships with many Okanagan interior designers and they suggest his art to their clients. But thanks to the internet, Shawn’s business is also global. He has customers in Mexico and Europe as well as across North America, and enjoys travelling to consult with customers during the design process. He says that, in particular, the visual social media platform, Instagram, has been helpful for broadening his reach around the world. Eternal Timber now has more than 10.5K Instagram followers. But no matter how successful a business is, there are always challenges. Next time you’re in the showroom, ask Shawn to tell you the story of that time he made a table that was three times the length of a queen size bed, and so heavy it took 12 people to carry it. And it needed to be delivered through a third storey window in downtown Kelowna.… |
